Sold a Single Family home in 2017 in Fernside, Alameda, CA.
To use the words “simply amazing” doesn’t seem adequate to describe Karen Lithgow as a realtor or as a special person. After 35+ years in our beloved Alameda Victorian, my wife and I decided we needed to sell and move on. I was drawn to the advertisement Karen placed in the local newspaper as being a realtor specializing in Victorians. This appealed to my wife and I since we wanted someone to handle the sale of our home who truly understood what a Victorian offered to a potential buyer. We both felt very strongly that we didn’t want someone who would totally change our home in order to sell it. Karen was that realtor! She totally understood how much we loved our home and what it meant to us. She didn’t once suggest it be repainted gray or remove the classic wallpaper that gave it such character. She sat down with us on several occasions to gather information that would help market our home without having it changed; only enhanced. She was not only our realtor and counselor, but also became a very dear friend. Karen, on several occasions, spent her personal time helping us pack our belongings while offering much needed encouragement. Would we have Karen assist in selling our home again? ABSOLUTELY!
